Every year Medicare recipients need to re-sign up for their benefits. Med D is their pharmaceutical plan where they select a pharmacy for their medications. This is a big deal for the national drugstores as it doesn't just mean profits on the medications but all the extra things their customers will buy when they come into the store. The problem for the drugstores is that there is no point of difference they can use when it comes to Med D to distinguish themselves from their competitors. So we dug into Walgreen's legacy, how they've always been there when customers needed them most and created an emotional connection in a traditionally transactional message.
